HOW TO PLAY THE HASKELL CHALLENGE


Choose one horse in each of the fourteen races on Haskell Day – Saturday, July 20th 2024

Player receives a mythical $2 Win, Place and Show wager on each horse selected in each race. The Player with the highest bankroll total at the end of the day wins The Haskell Challenge!

The game will be conducted Saturday, July 20th - 2024

  1. Go to the 2024 “The Haskell Challenge” Main Page (www.haskellgame.com)
  2. Enter your Username and Password.
  3. Click on the Make Picks button for Haskell day on your personal “Haskell Challenge” game page.
  4. Click the radio button next to each selection (one per race) and click Submit at the bottom of the page. Selecting any part of a coupled pari-mutuel betting entry gives the contestant all horses in that entry.

The deadline to make selections is 11:30 am EST.

Changes to a player’s selections may be made up until this time by re-clicking the Make Picks button. At 11:30 am, all selections are final. Scratches/Changes will be available 1 hour before the daily first race post time. If a selection is scratched, contestant receives the actual post-time favorite in that race.

This is an online contest for legal residents of the US and Canada. Absolutely no selections will be accepted if submitted by phone, fax, e-mail or any other means.

REGISTRATION AND SELECTIONS

 

Monmouth Park Racetrack offers visitors to monmouthpark.com the chance to participate in MONMOUTH PARK RACETRACK’S “2024 HASKELL CHALLENGE." THE HASKELL CHALLENGE takes place on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. Players must register and make selections by 11:30 am EST on Saturday, 20th July 2024.

Players previously registered for Survival at the Shore must “re-register” for THE HASKELL CHALLENGE by accepting the 2024 HASKELL CHALLENGE rules by 11:30 am EST on Saturday, July 20th - 2024

By registering and making selections, the participant agrees to abide by the rules set forth herein THE HASKELL CHALLENGE RULES.

All Monmouth Park employees, New Jersey Racing Commission employees, vendors, and contractors for Monmouth Park and their immediate families are not eligible to play THE HASKELL CHALLENGE.

THE HASKELL CHALLENGE is a FREE on-line contest. Participants are required to sign up via an email address, logon to THE HASKELL CHALLENGE, select one entry only from each of fourteen races on Haskell Day. Players must make all selections personally. Participants are credited with a mythical $2.00 win (1st), place (2nd), and show (3rd) or “across the board” wager on each of their selections. The total mutuel payouts according to the official race results will be accrued to the participant’s mythical bankroll.

Participants do not have to make a selection in all races. In the event of a late scratch of a participant’s selection, participant’s selection is automatically transferred to the post-time (off time) favorite. If the post-time favorite is a coupled “entry,” the player receives the entire entry and will be credited with the mutuel payout accordingly.

THE CHALLENGE scoring is based on pari-mutuel information as supplied by Equibase.

All participant’s race selections must be made by 11:30 am EST (Haskell first post is 12:00 pm). Remember, you can change your selections at any time until 30 minutes prior to first post.

 

SCORING

 

The participant with the highest accumulated pari-mutuel payout total (bankroll) at the end of THE HASKELL CHALLENGE will be declared the GRAND PRIZE winner. Second and third place prizes in the GRAND PRIZE category will be awarded to the second and third highest bankrolls.

In the event of a tie, the player selecting the most first place finishers will be declared the winner. In the unlikely event of a tie for most winners, a random drawing will be held to determine the winner.

Players may access a daily leader board listing each participant’s current standings and race selections after close of entries. Winners will be notified by email.

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

THE HASKELL CHALLENGE participants must agree to abide by THE HASKELL CHALLENGE official rules, be 18 years or older at time of entry, possess a valid email address, and be a legal resident of the U.S. or Canada.

One entry per person. Persons submitting more than one email registration will be disqualified and will not be eligible to win prizes. All Monmouth Park employees, New Jersey Racing Commission employees, vendors, and contractors for Monmouth Park and their immediate families are not eligible to play THE HASKELL CHALLENGE. Any individuals residing in jurisdictions where participation in THE HASKELL CHALLENGE is prohibited by law, and any individual prohibited by law from participating in THE HASKELL CHALLENGE, are ineligible to participate.

GENERAL PROVISIONS To enter THE HASKELL CHALLENGE, registration must be made at www.haskellgame.com page by completing the mandatory fields on the electronic sign-up form. All entries must be received by Monmouth Park Racetrack by Saturday, July 20th - 2024 at 11:30 am EST. Written, faxed, and hand-delivered registrations will NOT be accepted under any circumstances. By entering THE HASKELL CHALLENGE, entrant agrees to abide by the decisions of Monmouth Park and its corporate partners and release and hold harmless, Monmouth Park Racetrack, 123Racing, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, trustees, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with any prize(s) won.

All decisions in the administration of THE HASKELL CHALLENGE are final and binding. Information submitted in the registration for THE HASKELL CHALLENGE may be retained by Monmouth Park Racetrack and used for marketing, research, or other purposes. THE HASKELL CHALLENGE is void where prohibited by law, and is governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of New Jersey. Monmouth Park Racetrack reserves the right to at any time cancel or suspend THE HASKELL CHALLENGE without individual notice to participants or prospective participants by posting such notice on its website, and shall bear no obligation nor liability to award any prizes in the event of a cancellation or suspension. If any of the races selected for THE HASKELL CHALLENGE are cancelled for any reason, all selections for that race will be deemed null and void. If racing is cancelled, but all of the races selected for THE HASKELL CHALLENGE are contested, then the results of these races stand. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify Monmouth Park either in writing or via email of any changes in his or her email address. Prize winners may be required to complete, sign, and return an affidavit of eligibility. Acceptance of any prize award as a result of the entrant’s participation in THE HASKELL CHALLENGE grants permission to Monmouth Park Racetrack to use the name, likeness, or photograph of that participant for publicity purposes without additional compensation. All applicable taxes with regard to prize awards are the individual responsibility of the winner.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

Monmouth Park and 123Racing reserve the right to cancel game play for any reason without notification to participants. Every effort will be made to notify participants of cancellation via email or web site notice. In the event that a game is cancelled after selections have been made OR after a game race has been run, the game will be returned to the state of existence as it was at the end of the last complete game day.

 

PRIZES

 

Grand Prize is awarded highest total bankroll based on pari-mutuel payouts from a $2.00 “Across the Board” wager ($2.00 to win, place, and show) on your race selection. 

 

Grand Prize – Highest total bankroll – $1000

 

Second Place - Second highest total bankroll – $500 

 

Third Place – $200

Monmouth Park Racetrack and its partners reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to corrupt the entry process, or the operation of THE HASKELL CHALLENGE, or website, or acts in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participant. Any attempt to defraud THE HASKELL CHALLENGE administrators or contestants will result in disqualification and all decisions by Monmouth Park Racetrack in the administration of THE HASKELL CHALLENGE are final. Monmouth Park Racetrack is not responsible for lost, interrupted, unavailable, defective or damaged hardware, software, and electric, wireless, or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled transmissions, and the unavailability of its website or any website associated with THE HASKELL CHALLENGE.
